FAQ #634: Why was my deviation relocated or moved?Gallery Info: PHOTOMANIPULATION
The Photomanipulation section is dedicated to digital photographs that have undergone post processing and/or editing via the use of a graphical imaging software. The extent of manipulation should be prominent and noticeable in ways where it can be clearly distinguishable from an unaltered photograph.
Photomanipulations are images that have been composed of two or more photographic elements to create something new. Consequently put together in such a way that it exceeds digital darkroom techniques in other words, a photomanipulation no longer focuses on merely enhancing any given photo, but on creating something entirely new.
Please Note:
All images submitted to this section should be altered in such way that it is clear you have used techniques other than a filter and/or alteration in the colour of the original. Rather than into the photomanipulation gallery, these pictures should be submitted to
Photography or
Digital Art > Miscellaneous.

Manips versus Misc
Note also that adding text or scribbles on a photograph is not photomanipulation and also not digital mixed media - they should be submitted to Photography (text as in adding a title and the deviant's name - only if the photo was taken by the deviant), Visual Poetry (found in literature - only if the text is a poem written by the artist) or Digital Art > Miscellaneous (everything else).
So:
Photomanipulations are works consisting of two or more photos merged together to create something altogether different than the original images. In doubt? Send me a Note.

I'd be happy to help.
