My father has wanted me to do a photomanipulation of him for a long time now; something otherworldy. I wanted to play on his wise and weather beaten charateristics, so I found that this reptilian creature was the perfect fit. Can't wait to see his reaction when he sees this.
Edit: He loved it so much, he was giggling like a schoolgirl. The skin is composed from about 25 layers of mostly iguana skin. I took use of the different structures, wrinkles and crevices of the iguana skin to create the shapes of the human form. (gorgeous creatures) It's been fun to see the transition, but frankly a royal pain in the arse putting all the pieces together. I could nitpick at this forever, but what the hell.
