Looksie; new dA watermark. Trying it out.
Watercolor, acrylics and ink.
I started working on this painting after having seen the documentary 'Jesus Camp'. [link]
This camp is very clearly an indoctrination of children to become foot soldiers and "warriors of God" (direct quote). Shouting slogans/military chants over and over ("liberalism is dead" being one of them) which, is a technique the army uses to focus the soldiers. The leaders/preachers of this camp said them selves off-stage that young children are easily usable and impressionable. Brainwashing comes to mind...
So here's the product.
Quote: Becky Fischer(leader): I can go into a playground of kids that don't know anything about Christianity, lead them to the Lord in a matter of, just no time at all, and just moments later they can be seeing visions and hearing the voice of God, because they're so open. They are so usable in Christianity.

and the inspiration for it, certainly something that ought to be looked at - in my opinion, with disgust. Brainwashing religions seem to abound these days. it is sad to me, really, how this is put off on to little children because they are much more susceptible, since they have not yet developed their own thought process.
I hate organized religion.
